Privacy Policy

The short version: we collect the email, phone number and name you give us so we can tell you when Azizam opens and run your account. We don’t sell your information. We never share your phone number with anyone for their own marketing. You can stop texts anytime by replying STOP.

What we collect

Azizam (“we,” “us”) runs the website azizam.vip. We collect only what you choose to give us, plus a small amount of technical information.

  • When you join the waitlist: your phone number or email address, and your first name if you enter it.
  • When you create an account: your first name, email address, password and, if you choose, your phone number. We store your password in a scrambled (hashed) form that we cannot read.
  • Account details we create: your points balance, store credit, discount code and the date you joined.
  • Technical information: like most websites, our hosting provider records basic information such as your browser type, the page you came from and your IP address, to keep the site running and secure. We use a cookie only to keep you logged in to your account.

How we use it

  • To tell you when Azizam opens and to send you your 5% off code.
  • To send marketing texts or emails you agreed to receive.
  • To run your account, including your points, store credit and discount code.
  • To keep the site secure and prevent spam or abuse.
  • To meet legal requirements.

We do not sell your personal information, and we do not use it for anything you didn’t sign up for.

Text messages (SMS)

If you give us your phone number and agree to receive texts, you’re joining the Azizam text program. We’ll send updates about our launch, new fragrances and offers, and, once our store opens, reminders about items you left in your cart (see below).

How we collect and handle your phone number. We collect your number only when you type it into a sign-up form on azizam.vip (the waitlist form or the account form) and agree to receive texts. We record your number, the date and time you agreed, and the form you used, so we have proof of your consent. We use your number only to send you Azizam texts and to honor your requests to stop.

  • Consent isn’t required to buy anything. You don’t have to agree to texts to shop with us.
  • How often: message frequency varies. We text only when we have something worth telling you.
  • Cost: message and data rates may apply, depending on your mobile plan.
  • To stop: reply STOP to any message. You’ll get one final text confirming you’re unsubscribed.
  • For help: reply HELP, or contact us using the details below.
  • Mobile carriers are not liable for delayed or undelivered messages.

Cart reminder texts. When our online store opens, if you have agreed to receive marketing texts and you add items to your cart but don’t finish checking out, we may send you a text reminding you about those items. To do this, we connect the items in your cart to your phone number when you’re logged in to your account or after you enter your phone number at checkout. You can stop these reminders, along with all other marketing texts, by replying STOP.

Your phone number stays private. No mobile information will be shared with third parties or affiliates for marketing or promotional purposes. Text messaging opt-in data and consent will not be shared with any third parties, except the service providers that help us send messages (described below). We never sell, rent or trade phone numbers or text consent.

Location

We do not track your precise location, and we don’t use GPS or ask for location permission on your device. Like most websites, our hosting provider and our messaging provider can estimate your general area (such as your state or time zone) from your internet connection. We use this only to keep the site secure and to send texts and emails at a reasonable time of day for you.

Who we share it with

We share your information only with the companies that help us run Azizam, and only so they can do that job for us:

  • Vercel, which hosts our website and stores waitlist and account information.
  • Klaviyo, which we use to send our emails and text messages. Klaviyo stores your phone number or email, your consent records and the messages we send you.

These companies are not allowed to use your information for their own purposes. We may also share information if the law requires it, or to protect the safety of our customers or the public.

Your choices

  • Stop texts: reply STOP to any text.
  • Stop emails: click “Unsubscribe” at the bottom of any email.
  • See, fix or delete your information: contact us and we’ll take care of it. You can also log in to your account to see your details.

Depending on where you live, you may have other privacy rights under state law. Contact us to make a request and we’ll respond within the time the law requires.

How long we keep it

We keep your information while you’re on our list or have an account. If you ask us to delete it, we will, unless we need to keep a record by law (for example, a record that you asked to stop receiving texts).

Security

We use secure connections (HTTPS), store passwords in hashed form and limit who can see sign-up information. No website can be 100% secure, but we take reasonable steps to protect your information.

Children

Azizam is not meant for children under 13, and we don’t knowingly collect information from them. If you believe a child has given us information, contact us and we’ll delete it.

Changes to this policy

If we change this policy, we’ll update the date at the top of this page. If the changes are significant, we’ll let you know by email or text.
